<p>Vale do Lobo covering 2,000 acres is the most popular beach fronted
resort in the Algarve with many tourism awards offering a wide range
of facilities and night life; including the world renowned golf courses-
the Royal Golf Course and the Ocean Golf Course, the Vale do Lobo International
Tennis Academy, Barringtons Sports and Health Club, and the world famous
praça, a delightful cobbled square close to the beach with shops
restaurants and night clubs. Vale do Lobo is comprised of more than 800
holiday villas, apartments, village houses, linked villas, villas with
pools, large luxury villas with heated pools and large gardens, step
villas with pools and luxury apartments with pools.<br>

Dunas Douradas is a modern , quiet smaller beach fronted development
of luxury villas with pools, village houses with pools and 60 low rise
two bedroom apartments laid out around a large Roman style resort pool,
poolside bistro and tennis courts. Dunas Douradas caters for, and is
more suited to families with smaller children.</p>
<p>Quinta do Lago is a luxurious and prestigious development of 3,000 acres
of pine forest and lakes, comprising modern large detached villas with
pools set in large grounds, smaller villas with pools, and small resorts
with excellent facilities including São Lourenço, Four
Seasons Country Club, Four Seasons Fairways, Victory Village and Vilar
do Golf. There are three main championship golf courses- Quinta do Lago
Norte, Quinta do Lago Sul , Pinheiros Altos and São Lourenço
which is rated as the fifth best golf course in the world. Quinta do
Lago is the best, most exclusive and most expensive development in the
Algarve providing holiday homes for the rich and famous of Europe. Tennis,
horse riding and water sports are also available in Quinta do Lago.</p>
<p>The beach linking these three resorts is a glorious unspoiled stretch
of safe and sandy beach 6 kilometres long, lined with dunes and beach
bars and separated from Quinta do Lago by the famous Ria Formosa lagoon
and nature reserve, winter home of exotic visiting birds including flamingos,
bee eaters and hoopoes etc.</p>
